getting ready

I saw this vignette when we were at a recent horse show. It's not the cowboy hat I have but it is one I aspire to. Going to Big Sky Country!!!

Not Mr Ed

This horse was hysterical......that first shot he was laughing and I must have stood there for a good ten minutes and he just kept laughing....BUT....only when I held up the camera. Mr Doodles and I got a lot of enjoyment outta this guy.

A peek

at the Poppies that are just now beginning to come out....we went on a day that was less than idyllic, translated to say cold and windy, very very windy. So the sweet little poppies don't open unless it's warm and sunny without the wind.

But the orange you see in this photo are masses of poppies just ready to burst open. When you look out the hills look like they are beginning to rust - but no my friends this is just gorgeous. We are going back when the wind has died down and a bit warmer.

Another favorite

photographer is California born but left and went to Florida. Actually he resides in the Big Cypress area of South Florida aka the Everglades. I have been to his studio and a workshop...I was so lucky to attend the workshop as it is usually done by many of his assistants. Mr Butcher is referred to as a black and white landscape photographer....I just think he is amazing. This is an announcement of his latest exhibit.

One of his images...I am lucky enough to have one print.
